Its certainly my legs that let me down on fast club runs and not my shoe/pedal combination ,
Heck yes!

As long as I breathe, I attack.
Is that referring to strength or appearance?
My strength , lack of being the factor but rotating shifts + young kids are kinda bad news for regular training.
Edit
10 mile each way commute doesnt give you the stamina and i tend to run out of steam after 60 miles atm.
In fact just ordered some of those shimano shoes, i had been using decathlon rockrider s untill now that look like a CX shoe.

I went from SPD-SL to an SPD pedal and shoe on my roadie. The SLs were a nightmare to clip out of and walking was dreadful.
I have a shimano touring shoe now like the ones someone posted a pic up. They are far better all round. I wouldnt walk on my tiles in them mind as they do touch the floor ever so slightly but walking outside they are fine. Style was though touring shoes are limited to pretty much black so my next pair will be MTB style and Neon! thats just how i roll!

I wear MTB shoes all the time on a road bike...actually they are better for walking in...sometimes you just gotta walk eh

This is exactly the reason why I have spd pedals on my commuter bike. The other bike has speedplays which are a nightmare to walk in compared.
