I walked through the town centre today and was appalled by the number of bikes that had been deliberately vandalised while attached to various bike stands. Many other stands had bikes that had obviously been there since Queen Victoria was on the throne; doesn't the town council ever remove the old, abandoned rubbish and thereby give people the chance of locking decent bikes to reasonable stands?
