Just apply it with a small dropper bottle on each roller then wipe.

I use Finish line ceramic wet. Larger bottle lasts that long. I do have loads of 5×30, but that goes in 3 of the cars, and the little Aygo needs regular top ups given its doing 1k miles a month.

Years ago put a bike away in a damp garage before Christmas, after a long ride in torrential rain on filthy roads and just forgot about it. When I took it out in January I learned the importance of putting something - anything - oily on your chain.

The difference between all the different options: bike specific chain lube with teflon and secret nanoparticles; chainsaw oil; 3-in-one; motor oil; WD40; grease etc is tiny when compared with the difference between doing something and doing nothing.

Wise words, to be taken to heart. The bicycle is a remarkably robust piece of technology, and will continue to perform to some level as long as you perform the least bit of maintenance.
