Yes we did penny for the guy on the build up to bonfire night, we dressed one of the lads little brothers as a guy and put him in a wheelbarrow, a youth ran up (and thinking it was a stuffed guy) thumped him in the stomach, I don't know who was the most shocked, the guy or the youth.
I never associated penny for the guy with Halloween though, it was Guy Fawkes.
