Pedantry

I've already done pedantry on this thread (the TV/film flavour, anyway). It's far too rife on social meeja generally to be worth moaning about any more, but if anyone TRIES pedantry on me but gets it wrong, then I take a particular joy in <CENSORED> their <CENSORED>s.

p.s. I like an accessable hobby

I have one work colleague who could moan for the Olympics. Sometimes it actually grates on me, I can feel my heart rate going up....fark off, I'm thinking and stop moaning for chrissakes. Occasionally I tell him,...for all the good it does.

Have you noticed how grammar pedantry has exploded of late? In my day it used to be mostly criticising split infinitives and mixing up less and fewer but now it knows no bounds.

Here's mine: Football referees.

Post match analysis is a never ending moan-fest about referees and VAR! They go on, and on and on about it! Why don't they just stop moaning and get on with it!
