I don't think too many need to ask themselves why one person was pepper-sprayed and I think I'd put it down as "The stupid pillock threw a policeman across the bonnet of a car" rather than anything as grandly fatuous as Olympic Worry Syndrome.

My comments related to cyclists no longer being allowed use the routes that they have previously used. I don't know Draper's Fields, Hackney Marshes or Wanstead Flats, but I assume that they refer to specific places, rather than specific access routes.

aaahh so you mean like the towpath i mentioned, wanstead flats is a great open space thats hard surface but grassy ideal for kids to learn to ride a bike on.my eldest learnt there, my youngest started there and would be great at moment for confidence building off road/pavement. hackney marches also were an off road route. so yes plenty of ROUTES we cannot use anymore

I've been on this forum for a few months and I'm starting to see who the decent members are and who the argumentative trolls are so at least this thread has achieved one worthwhile thing.

Hopefully I will converse with some of the more level headed cyclists who can just answer a question without being an arse about the whole thing .

I'm not going to start picking people out and naming names because that level of argument is below me and a forum is not the place for it. I wouldn't want to be thought of as a troll on here as I do really enjoy this forum.

I can take a joke as well as the next person and I'm certainly not overly sensitive about anything and banter is brilliant (ive laughed at quite a lot of this thread with some of the posts as they are genuinely funny) I just feel that a question was asked by several people and instead of being helpful or just saying "I don't actually know" there seems to be one or two on here who like the argument aspect a bit too much.

700 posts is ridiculous and I believe its time a mod took the decision to move this out of the main boards as its lost its way and has become farcical.
