Why haven't these 33 pages* crap been moved to "Current Affairs and Mass debates" by now? It's sullying the Cafe.

long words too much for you?

Here for rides.
Aggressive policing destroys this multifariousness, and deprives the participants of the agency that creates it.
Aggressive public policing gives rise to a common enemy, coalesces the disparate mob into an opposing mass, and makes reasonable people angry. Or so they used to teach at Hartey Witney.

Oh yeah and the ACPO guidance seems to indicate using pepper spray against an individual in a group isn't the brightest move a flat foot can make.

Anyhow I'm off out to get pished and break a few aerials on the way home.

. . . so you can go to fewer (not less !) places in London - such as ?? Which places can you no longer visit ?

Is it really such an inconvenience - for just a few weeks ?

the towpath from the A12 to the A11 and then under the A11 so you can miss stratford and bow roaundabout springs to mind.

the allotments stolen from the community http://counterolympicsnetwork.wordp...ulldoze-100-year-old-manor-garden-allotments/ there are other less subversive webpages if you want. it seems LOCOG and ODA have a different idea of "in perpetuity" than the oxford english dictionary.

Drapers fields - tarmacced over for VIP Parking
Hackney marshes Concreted over for coach parking
Wanstead Flats where LOCOG/ODA and the Met obtained a change in the law to allow enclosure of the land.

so a fair few places and thats not listing everything.

have a google for Bow roundabout/flyover and have a look at its KSI stats. its pretty grim. but its the alternative route given to cyclists by TFL who incidentally our caring cycling Mayor is in charge of !!

so yes it is an inconvenience for " just 2 weeks" which happen to be from the 15th July to 12th September for most closures and a lot lot lot longer for the "legacy" works to "restore" things .

that said CM were eejits for trying to go there

I think the thread is danger of being hijacked and forcibly ejected by the Cafechatters. Oh dear!
Or maybe not. Perhaps they lack sufficient organisation and leadership? :headshake:
Not at all, but long, tedious, bickering threads are. Now take this over to Massdebates where it belongs.

- No it doesn't, threads like this should be in Cafe
- No they shouldn't, everyone should be have the chance to hear the world view of dell, The Claud, Linford, Smeggers et al. They are important views
- No they aren't, and what would you know, I was there
-No you weren't, I was though, but not actually in amongst it
-Ah, well that means you weren't there and besides [ insert stupid in-joke remark that only Massdebaters will understand]
-Then repeat for about 42 pages, before starting another thread and doing exactly the same

Mods, do your job:angry:
My comments related to cyclists no longer being allowed use the routes that they have previously used. I don't know Draper's Fields, Hackney Marshes or Wanstead Flats, but I assume that they refer to specific places, rather than specific access routes.
