Overall I thought the ride was good. A few 'undulations' but mostly very flat. The wind was horrendous though but hey, that's cycling.

Passed one incident early on where a man looked pretty banged up in the middle of the road and then the lorry/car incident. Not nice to see things like that.

I echo the comments regarding cyclists all over the road. Two abreast at a max and if you overtake another rider, pull over to the left hand side of the road. It's not hard.

I was going for a quick time and it was nice to ride with others who seemingly was wanting to do the same. Drafting each other and taking turns on the front. There was one guy however kitted out in fully Sky including Dogma who was a bit of a tit. Sat in my wheel for ages only to sprint off before slowing down to then sit in my wheel for miles on end before... yep... you guessed it. Became increasingly frustrating so I told him bluntly to do his turns on the front. To which he replied "We've still got 60 miles left yet."

I know you're not obliged to take a turn on the front but he was clearly a stronger rider than myself so it wasn't as if he couldn't. Just tarnished the experiance for me a little.

*rant over*

I had a full group literally try and bully me out of the way, I was riding solo at the time passing people that were slower on the left, they must have only been slightly faster as when one or two passed by they sucked me in and I was travelling the same speed at the side if not faster, but they pushed me out to the side of the road, I had to slam on. Funny because quarter of a mile later they missed a turning, ha ha self-gratification artists!

I found that too. They we're called Big Dog's or something. I thought I was in a crit or something the way that I had to fight for someones wheel and not letting me back in. I just held my own and gave them what its worth before just hanging onto the back. I was taking turns on the front to begin with but in the end I thought why bother.

I know that contradicts my earlier post but my earlier post was regarding a trio of riders. This included about 10-15 riders before I take some flak.

The knobbers are always there. I like to slow down and down and down until its embarrassing for them and have to pass me,, the simple things are the best.
