Lowest rolling resistance of 27 inch tires?

I've currently got the Continental ultra sports, which tested decent on a rolling resistance test I saw the results for on another site. It's about time to get new tires and I'm looking for the fastest option in the 27 1 1/4 size. I haven't seen many options. Ond that I have seen is the continental grand race. They're higher priced but I think it's because of the added puncture protection. They look similar to the ultra sports and I'm not sure which one is faster.

So yes, any recommendations

You cannot have puncture protection and low rolling resistance in the same tyre. The two are exclusively polar opposites. The tyre with the lowest rolling resistance is the one with the highest TPI count, the thinnest thread and silica, rather than carbon black in the rubber. I say go for a ride, drink a beer and take some photos. Life isn't a science experiment.

Some friendly advice. Don't join a forum and then on day 1 start making posts like that. At least if you actually want some help that is

The reply didn't answer my question. I had a feeling that it would go like this that's why I said please keep the replies relevant to the question.

To answer the guy below, the Continental gatorskins rate higher in rolling resistance than the ultra sports

I was thinking more puncture resistance.
Just trying to think of tyres that combine the two things you look for.
Best I can do old bean. It's all the knowledge I have on that front.
Just those two.

Thanks for the replies and yes I checked the rolling resistance site out and posted a question, there, too. I'll have to check the panaracers out more but the ultra sports look a lot smoother. The panaracers look more like hybrid style. I'm a bike messenger so speed is my biggest thing. I've got thicker tubes for flat protection so the tire itself doesn't need to be big on that

I think it's fabulous, personally. And it confirmed both my suspicions that the Schwalbe Luganos I bought had turned my bike into a road roller, and that the Conti Ultra Sports on my Cube have the puncture resistance of wet tissues.

Yea the ultra sports have terrible puncture resistance. I'd get flats seemingly every other day with them until I got better tubes. It really does look like the ultra sports might be the fastest in that limited size. Which sucks cause I don't really want to have to get new wheels just to get higher end tires

So puncture protection was brought into the discussion by you. Don't be surprised when people shape their answers around the points you raise.

Puncture protection was not mentioned in relation to rolling resistance. Also pointing out how I think one tire might cost more due to added puncture protection was not the point and theme of the topic.
