I feel I should add a cautionary note to this Post.As an enthusiastic 40-something no handed rider,I was pootling along chatting to the wife whilst removing my jacket.Front wheel turned in slightly, went to grab it,dropped my jacket into the front spokes, mini pump in the pocket jammed against the front forks and I was thrown over the bars. Net result, broken elbow, fractured rib , damaged wrist and sprained thumb. Not to mention, broken rear shifter and ruined sunglasses. Also, pride severely dented. That was the beginning of May. After 4 months of physio the elbow is nearly back to being fully flexible but still weak and slightly painful.I suppose at my age I should have known better and I certainly don't deserve any sympathy but be warned.

A coincidence, last night I dreamt I was trying to teach myself to ride non-handed. What does that mean?
A loss of control? I was trying the other day, but on a road that was wide, empty and with a slight decline, it had the unwelcome addition of a strong crosswind.
Gave up sharpish
