The retro clothing shop i work in sells old Levi's,Wrangles,Lee jeans etc. They sell for around 20-30 pounds. They're ok,but i'm a bit fussy about wearing someone's else's clothes, unless i know them and even them i'm still a bit unsure.
I trust you don't pass your doubts onto the customers accy.
I thought you were just an occasional customer of that place, didn't know you worked there.
Caution - I may pop in next time I pedal through accrington (I have twice this year).
My most used boots round town came from a charity shop in Lytham.
(they were essentially new though I think)

No of course i don't pass on my doubts. I'm not really that doubtful as the jeans and other clothes sold are well washed before being put out for sale. Yes,i've been working there a month or so...only part-time mind.

I wouldn't have any doubts about washed denim.
Last time I was in one of Peckham's cool markets I was surprised to find that denim shirts were back in fashion.
(was a while ago though - maybe they are now the height of naffness again)

Absolutely, 501's very sort after £20-£25 in decent sizes.

511's popular too.

Flares not so much but still a market.
I bought a pair of 501's years ago. After a while i found them too baggy, similar to flared pants. I paid summat daft like £60 for them, but they annoyed me so much i gave them to a charity shop. I suppose someone one day found them on a rail for a fiver and thought it was their lucky day. I have just the one pair of jeans now, which are what i'd class as 'smart looking' non ripped, non distressed, non faded, non baggy dark indigo jeans. They cost me about 20 quid from Next.

Happy you dodged the mid-life crisis of ripping tears in them.
Saw some somewhat tubby bloke of a certain age sporting this look. One of the daftest things I've ever seen.

Black jeans are my trousers of choice. Immensely practical. Used to wear 501s a lot so have spent most of my adult life in jeans.

I have always liked Levis. Good for fixing the motorbike in, digging the garden and then wear the same pair to go to the pub in. They are tough and last a long time. Isnt that what jeans are supposed to do?

Proper levis in heavy denim retail at £175 these days. most levis now are pressed fabric - last about a year !

Agree, must have at least 10 pairs Levi's mainly 511's as 501's seem to have gotten baggy over the years.

Not One pair made in the US and nowhere near the quality of years gone by.

Luckily still the same size but just accumulated so much stuff over time. Huge downsizing in progress.
Ask yourself....do they bring you joy?

Men over 30(ish) wearing ripped jeans just isn't right.:stop: I've never been a 'scruffy jeans' type, apart from when i was younger and maybe couldn't afford a new pair, but i've never bought ripped torn ones. Even worse than rips and tears is when they wear them too long with the bottom dragging on the floor and getting all mucky!🧐

Edit...Just thought of another one. When they have the arse bit nearly down to the knee!
