Sorry but I think they look pig ugly, and a massive step backwards in bike development, but that's only my personal opinion......:whistle:
Calling that "Thing" pig ugly is an unforgiveable insult to pigs.

29er is a new term for MTB wheels based on a 700C rim size. The traditional 'imperial' term for 700C is 28". Yes, they are slightly smaller than old-fashioned 27" rims, and there's a long, complicated, historical explanation for that.

I like the look of them, but yes, although those handlebars are too small, that jumper is the worst bit by a country mile!!

I'm guessing they're shallow dirt drops, a la On One Midge Bars. They look a bit odd from the side, but are in fact quite bulky, just very heavily flared out to give width and stability.

Dirt drops lend themselves naturally to 29ers and other big wheeled off-road bikes where the front end might be too high for riser bars. Or that's what I've read anyhow...
