Mindset and clothing choices. You can’t choose the weather in such an endeavour, but you can choose your attitude.

Indeed, and if you pro rata her distance so far, you’d be looking at 62,900 miles over a year.

More recently, (and possibly accurately in terms of recorded mileage), Steve Abraham was ahead of Godwin's record by around 2,500 miles, before he was hit by a moped rider 3 months or so into his first attempt at Godwin's record.

And most of see more of the world on one single ride than Amanda Coker did in the year when she broke Godwin's record.

She really is remarkable. I heard on the podcast today that she’s sending a postcard to her parents from each country. That little detail moved me. What a lovely thing to do!

This trip has been such a joy to follow! Lael is incredible. Her podcast is one of my favourite parts of the day! She only has a few thousand miles left - two more weeks! Phenomenal.

About 10 days till she finishes. Cycling round the world in 110 days.

Lael's due to finish today...109 days, I think. Maybe 108? I'm dot watching but can't work out an estimated finish time. Whilst I'm asleep, I think.

She has, plus or minus ten, 180km to go, so something like eight hours, giving a finish time of early evening in Chicago, 0100-0200 in the UK. It'll be 108.5 days if that proves correct, with an almost balanced moving / not moving time; just a few hours more moving. Remarkable ride :-)
