Eurasian Lynx are getting released there on 11th August.
They are happy eating 300lb deer so I am not sure what they will make of 70kg cyclists.

Lynx have a maximum weight of 30kg. Their preferred prey is roe deer which have a similar maximum weight. I have no idea where you get the idea they prey on 300lb animals.

I am 100% confident that if a lynx saw a human it would disappear as quickly as possible. Seems you're scaremongering

On that basis I'd happily attend a dormouse reintroduction planning meeting. Brown bears, somewhat less so

Likely you need to go see and find out.
Quite obviously they prefer small roe deer but they do take down large deer too if they need to.

The trust did a survey a year or two ago claiming 90% support for their reintroduction. However I really do doubt they asked if people were happy having them in their own neck of the woods.

A lynx would only attack a human if it was cornered, which is pretty unlikely in a forest. They are shy animals and only attack what they know they can kill.
