The only strava cat 2 within riding distance of Celine Towers. It's quite gently really, apart from the 800 foot vertical pitch.

I know it well. 28% is a bit of an overstatement but it's a real bugger. And it's one of Simon Warren's top 100. Although whether it was in the first top 100 or the second I don't know, but it's on one of his lists.

Well I found it by accident, I had already climbed a long hill and then ten miles further I came across it. The legs were fine but I could not get enough oxogen to keep climbing, hence I had to stop half way up. Still I got there in the end 🤣

noticed was the sign with 28% on it

Looks nice but only saw a 18% sign when I looked.
