Keeping a 7 year old child (and wife) entertained in London...?

If you fancy going south of the river the Cutty Sark is fantastic and the Greenwich Observatory is really good too, another museum (groan...) but the Maritime is really interesting with some great stuff for kids too. You can get to all this through the Greenwich Foot Tunnel if you fancy a stroll under the Thames, it comes up right by the Cutty Sark too.

Who wouldn't be impressed by this!

If museums are out, what about shopping? Take the kid to Hamleys while she pops round the corner to Liberty. Or the Apple Store, depending on which way her inclinations lie.

I find it hard to imagine that a 7yo would find the Tower of London, Natural History Museum or Science Museum boring but I expect his own mother knows him better than a bunch of idiots off the internet.
