She's not in trouble because of anyone using her for fame and money, she's currently in a cell because she thinks she doesn't need to comply with road traffic laws or court sentences. She has a string of convictions with six disqualifications. The state of her driving gives me more cause to worry for her potential victims than it does Ms Price.

It appears officialdom is finally losing patience with her.

Maximum for drive disqualified is six months, and not many first time offenders get locked up.

Key will be how many drive disqualifieds she's got among the various disqualifications.

She will play the disabled child card, although he is now at a residential college so is already separated from his mother for weeks at a time.

Price was recently complaining her driving ban meant she was unable to visit him.

Looks like the ban was due to expire in December, so she only needed to behave herself (or avoid getting caught) for another couple of months or so.

Silly girl has now made a right balls of it.

It took a while and I read through the posts and just now it is mentioned that this person is likely to kill someone whilst driving under the influence, no insurance, disqualified. I have zero sympathy for ANYONE who does this.
If she wanted help for issues then this woman has the means to be able to get that help. Unlike some people who have to wait forever to be referred by doctors or social workers.
She has courted the press for years in order to gain sympathy and more importantly another modelling contract, tv deal or book sale! Who is to say that she isn`t doing exactly the same thing now? Risking peoples lives in the hope of selling a few books or calendars with Christmas looming!
And if you think I`m sounding a little cynical then I`m sorry but this is the type of "celebrity" who has made me cynical in the first place!

Latest venture appears to be a baby wear business.

Makes some sense, I believe Price does have her admirers among the female population.

I'd like to think any new mums might ask themselves if they want to dress their little cherub in clothing which supports someone who has such a blatant disregard for the rule of law.

Do many people 'get themselves straight' during prison time?
I went out with a probation officer for a while - some years back
She reckoned that the rehabilitation in prison works if the prisoner wants to engage - and sometimes they can help even if there is resistance
but any sentence of less that 2 years gave it no chance
(not sure if she meant 2 year sentence or 2 years in jail)

Would have been hard to argue anything else.
So she admits taking cocaine and driving!
Her solicitor says she has a lot of problems including bancruptcy proceedings against her? So she has financial problems but she can afford to spend money on Cocaine? Not only that but she has the means to attend the Priory for treatment? Mmm. I`m pretty sure a stay at the Priory is far beyond the means of the vast majority of people!
I`m sorry but I have no sympathy for this woman whatsoever!

Chair of the bench Julie Hutton gave Price an interim driving ban, warning her: "We regularly send people to prison for driving whilst disqualified."
Price was told that her sentence would be deferred until 15 December on the condition that she have treatment at the Priory Centre, and not commit any further offences.

Translation:

"I am sick and tired of 'celebrities' feeling they are entitled to break the law, but can see no point in wasting further taxpayers money on you. Get yourself sorted out and we will see what happens".

It looks like although she is in bankruptcy, she has not been complying with court requests and so still has access to all of her money as far as I can see.

Basically this. The amount of prisoners who openly bragged that the first thing they would be doing on release was to pick up a tenner bag or visit the off licence was unreal. If the desire to change isn’t there, I don’t see the point of wasting resources on them.

What do you suggest is done then in terms of rehabilitation or are you advocating leave them to it?
