Just below knee length shorts that aren't too baggy but not too tight?

so iv'e recently got into road cycling and i do enjoy it  atm i wear some endura Hummvee trousers that are fine except that in the warm weather they are annoying so i would like to buy some shorts but i can't find the right ones anywhere. First of all i'm very self conscious so skintight shorts are a definite NO but at the same time i don't want any that are too baggy, i did try a pair of Attura ascent baggy mtb shorts but they did annoy me because when i was peddling the shorts went right up my thighs and it just annoyed me and i think i may of looked like a idiot  anyway i'm just wondering if there are any shorts/long shorts out there that aren't skin tight but not too baggy, just in the middle off both so i am a little more aerodynamic and so i am not worrying about what people are thinking off me. if anyone can recommend me a pair of shorts that are kinda what i want then i'll greatly appreciate it  Thank you

I bought some below the knee running trousers from decathlon years ago, they work quite well with padded shorts underneath

Otherwise maybe see what sports direct have to offer in that length

As above, get some Lycra and get out there. You'll soon realise that nobody bats an eyelid, even at the coffee stop with bike parked up. I felt the same initially, but lasted one ride.

I've seen these suggested on here. No experience of them tho

DHB Navro Baggy Short
dhb’s Navo baggy short is the perfect alternative to lycra for those daily commutes. Offering a combination of comfort, low key styling and durability.

Worth a look?

Or perhaps Rapha Touring Shorts or Rapha Randonnee Shorts ?

Or indeed Endura do something similar.

I agree with the "to hell with everyone else" attitude. I always feel like a fool when I put on my cycling kit but as soon as I get on the bike, that vanishes. But if you're not convinced, try walking shorts from somewhere like Mountain Warehouse. I've worn mine on more casual rides with lots of stopping and sightseeing and although (like everything that's not lycra) they do the flapping thing on fast descents or in the wind, they don't ride up and do a good job of wicking sweat away.
