Thought to be from Roman times this 12 sided object was unearthed recently in Lincolnshire but nobody knows exactly what it is.
Suggestions put forward include a spaghetti grader, am object for crocheting, something through which to align the.stars and an early Rubics Cube or even a dog treat dispenser.
Nobody knows for sure so be the first to nail it's use.

There was an example found in Germany with the signs of the zodiac distributed one on each face. So, the assumption is that it is something astronomical......or should that be astrological.

I reckon it is not complete

Possibly it originally had a wooden plug in each hole with a picture of - maybe - the Gods on each one
the bigger the hole, the bigger the plug and the more important the God

or maybe it was family members
