Those with sharp ears might have heard a Charles Aznavour tune being played at the Stade de France after the victory over Wales, and the crowd singing along with ironic gusto. The name of the song evades me for the moment, but it's in the charts at the moment as Charlie boy is back in vogue this year.... for some curious reason!

And Venessa Paradis is still doing the rounds as a singer. Quite ludicrous really, imo. Her voice is as thin as her form. She's cute and has had a troubled life (if one is to believe the headlines in the 'Hello' type mags) so maybe that's it.

I must admit, I do feel the cold incomprehension that is 'cultural difference' sometimes! But, in fairness and as I've said before, I think the French do appreciate a broader range of tastes... be it music, film, food or whatever.

Nope, they have no taste when it comes to music, most of their recent films are navel gazing brain-mush (with gratuitous T+A - not all bad) and their telly is sub-US drivel (but again with added T+A).
