They'd better make it look like "this is how evil he was" otherwsie they'll get a lot of complaints.

Oh, I don't think there's any doubt about that. The question is how far they'll go with 'we were negligent'. I'm sure the beeb would love this to be a story of One Evil Man; will they have the honesty to give due coverage to 'aided and abetted by complicit BBC executives'?

The problem is that none of this has ever been heard in a Court, so facts haven’t been established. No criminal charges were ever brought against Savile before he died so it will be interesting to see how they deal with it.
Although the police Subsequently said they were satisfied that crimes had been committed and they would have brought charges if he hadn’t died.

Was common knowledge up here, even in the 1950’s when he was running the Mecca that he ”likes them young” both my mum & mum in law were warned by separate friends to stay well away from him when they had the lunchtime dances at the Mecca, which were very popular with workers in Leeds at that time.
He had plenty of money and friends in high places including the police.
