Get the baby wipes out on the bike. ( I better put my tin hat on and hide behind the sofa for saying that :-))))
Totally agree buddy. I ended up hosing my bike off today because of the filthy lanes left there mark on the bike. If you hose it down right after a ride when the mud is still wet a low pressure garden hose will rinse it all off with no problems at all. It's when you let it to dry rock hard a pressure washer is needed .Fine on a dusty bike, not so good on a proper dirty muddy one.

Jet washer works fine if you use on frame and rims etc. Just avoid directing into bearings
Surely a jetwash for the rim is called a bidet?
I was in my LBS , the owner had a Specialized RB in for service and repair , he had to replace every bearing, frame and wheels due to power washing , I saw a photo last year in CW , a lady CX rider was having herself power washed after her event ! , low pressure Id like to think ! ,
When I visited, DCR consisted of a very nice bloke, David, working out of a clean, tidy and secure barn. Of course he might have employed the services of a team of copywriters, but I doubt it.The article was probably written/plagiarised by a copywriter as part of their online marketing campaign. I used to do it myself and would write any old crap in as shorter time as possible.
Bit of both , but Id say matey was possibly unaware of the damage he was doing , the bike was not to old as I remember ,So what caused the damage to the bike, the jet washer or the person holding it?
