Is my performance good?

Yeah, well, about that... I'm from Hungary. The reason I'm using Imperial units instead of Metric is that most people here are British.
You can use metric here, they'll cope. Also, rule 24

You can't have ridden that bike many times in the week since you've had it so 37 miles at any speed is good going. Most people start off with a fairly basic bike and ride in trainers and shorts/tee shirt, if they can't get on with cycling as a hobby/sport not much has been lost but if they become enthusiastic (quite common with members here) then, as money allows they change the bike or upgrade it and buy cycling specific(that is made for the job) clothing. Others are not interested in that and stick with the basic bike for commuting or the odd Sunday ride. Neither approach is superior to the other although snobbery that works both ways - I need to look good and despise those I think don't or I can ride fast and don't need fancy clothes or a carbon bike - exists.

Well yeah, I'd be with the second option then, but could be because I'M short on money and can't even afford basic maintenance costs, let alone buying clothes.
I have a dent in both rims in diameter, so they're not perfectly round. I guess that cuts my performance off a bit, too.

Nah. What I meant was, I would be the "I don't need a carbon bike and fancy clothes to go fast" kind of snob. I sure won't make a career out of it, but it's a good hobby nonetheless.

If your wheels are dented, you ought to think about having them checked out or replacing them, before one fails and you get a mushful of tarmac

I tried having them fixed in two bike shops. Both of them is only interested in selling stuff and making big profit. I told both of them that I have a dent in both rims, although not visible, but each time the front wheel turns round it goes like 5 mm upwards, maybe more. Then both of them proceed to tell me that it's not the rims, the tyres are no well seated in the rim. Then they try moving the outer coating, they fail, and after that they tell me it's the rim. WTF? I just said that damnit. And then they tell me every rim is imperfect and they can't fix it.
