I get nosebleeds - with colds or from flying - always on the same side. I had to have the capillary cauterised after a serious nosebleed that wouldn't stop (flew to the US and back within the space of 3 days). Ambulance trip to A&E after a couple of hours as I couldn't breathe very well due to all the blood in my throat

, then emergency visit to the specialist.
I would see your GP and have it investigated by an ENT specialist.
You need to blow your nose gently and not pick...to make it stop, pince bridge of nose hard, and tilt head slightly forwards (never back), a cold flannel can help too
Oh and they do have nose tampons, and they are horrid!
