Do they come with a sachet of flavouring or is it plain noodles?

Oh yes, flavouring! I usually stick with the plain chicken, but they do chicken curry too.

Recently, the Morrisons ones were cheaper (11p when Sainsburys were 13p), but the seasoning was much more insipid. So I stuck with the more expensive brand...

I'm a leccy shaver but you wet shavers, you should take the price of razor blades on the chin.

I got the Boots 5 blade razor a couple of years ago and been getting the blades from superdrug (cheaper and exactly the same fit). I also got one of those silicone sharpening jobbies so blades last about 6 weeks. Recently the blades have not been holding in so have used a blob of blu-tak to hold blade in and gone back to Boots and Superdrug to look for new razor. They have both stopped doing them. I have 5 more blades so next Easter will need to look for an alternative .

I've worked out that the big 2 add another blade to their razors about every 7.5 years. We will be due 6 bladed razors soon.

DE razor for me.
Bought a razor and a multi-selection pack of blades from Connaught shaving about 2 years ago and only just had to buy more blades. A brush and a soap bowl lasts for ages as well.
Bloc osama / styptic pencil for any (rare) nicks.

Ans scraping a sharp blade over your face is much more manly than any electric razor

I last bought razor blades in the 1960s and they were cheap enough for this student then. I then went electric which was more expensive given the failure rate against my rather stiff beard. So when the last one I'll ever use died in December 1976 I stopped shaving and won't ever go back. The extra few minutes I've had in bed every day since then has added up!

Bizarrely in the 1990s a rather aged relative bought me after shave. That's how we knew Alzheimer's disease had struck.

razor blades?

That's got to be unacceptable profiteering of the absolute worst kind? Gillette and Wilkinson's Sword, you are hearby charged with gross making-people-sick-with-outrageous-pricing. How do you plead?

You go and make some , package and sell them nice and cheap putting them out of business rather than sit ona forum complaning.

Yes, what a fool I am to not consider setting up a smelting mill and sourcing a supply of plastic packaging so I could manufacture some blades and save some money! Isn't it a tad too early to be partaking of that 'exotic' substance you seem in the grip of?

You are all mad ('cept those with beards).

I respectfully point you all in the direction of http://www.beards.org/

I'm not gob smacked by the coast of razor blades as I no longer shave.

However the price of 100g Nescafe instant coffee though has rocketed.

Meat and fish prices have had a sharp rise recently to.

Don't get me started on food prices!!
Morrisons coffee 47p for 100g (packet not jar) and it's actually really good stuff too.
