Is it illegal for me to hack my neighbour to death?

I had that when I worked nights. They always started the minute I'd got my head down for a few hours kip!

I had a noisy neighbour did all the DIY when I was on nights never complained about it once. Sent wife to mother in laws for the weekend and when I just before I left home to do my night shift turned the stereo on full blast after the my shift was finished decided to go mother in laws my self. After that no noise for some reason.

Interesting statement.
It is always after midnight!
Pedant!

On a serious note, I got a wee bit worried last night. One of my neighbours is - well not really anti-social, just a bit awkward at times. They have an innumerable number of cars parked outside their "mansion", ranging from old bangers to a monster 4x4, and last night I discovered that the 4x4 was parked at an angle halfway across my drive, making it difficult to get my car out. It so happened that last night I did need the car (it's not very often!) and I found it a tight squeeze to get out. So I left a polite little note PLEASE DO NOT OBSTRUCT MY DRIVEWAY, THANKS. Today I notice that the 4x4 is parked somewhere else and my drive is clear. Hope that's the end of the story. I prefer to avoid that family and avoid trouble.

XmisterIS, have you done it yet?

I didn't mean it to be pedantic, just helpful. It means the time doesn't really matter.
You say 'pedant' like it's a bad thing.... ;)
Well - you know the old cliché: "It takes one to know one..."

If you regularly peruse the Saturday Grauniad, you might have come across the musings of a certain Professor Pedanticus (in the puzzles section) who strives for utterly literal accuracy in everything - and often gets it wrong in the process! Anyway I was only having a laugh, sorry!

I may have used the wrong smiley. I have terrible difficulty when posting smileys at work - you see the 'smileys' pane doesn't come up properly, so I have to guess at the correct HTML (or whatsit) code...

No apology necessary, I was just being pedantic with your smilie.

Besides, I have the excuse of Asperger's Syndrome for taking things literally even when I have learnt the specific rule on a point.;)

Noticed your edit:
I do tend to take smilies on face value as I don't recognise real expressions very well. I often wish people in real life could wave a suitable smilie sometimes, just so that I know what they mean.

I just been checking in a law book, and it turns out that being driven mad by endless DIY is actually a legal defence to murder.
