Abandoned.

Perth is like a zombie film. Backed up for miles. I wonder if it is related to flooding.

Horrible ride thanks to very weird, extremely humid air meant that wind chill was vastly worse than you'd think it could get. Got wet thanks to snowmelt on Kinnoul Hill, and it was game over. Abandoning was definitely the correct thing to do.

Still shivering after a 20 minute shower and changing into my warmest clothes. Covered in red and white splotches from where I was wettest.

Anyone got an electric bike I could have a hurl on? (or burl, or birl - not quite sure how to spell this Scottish word for having a wee shot of something!)!

This could be a commuting option for 2016, but no idea what the experience is like.

There are a couple of e-Bike shops in Edinburgh, in Tolcross and Trinity ... pretty sure they'd let you test ride some of their bikes!

P.S. @Pat "5mph" - I read you saying 'I've spent the last 2 days partying', then I looked properly
Hope it turned out nice :okay: ... must do some painting etc next year instead of spending most of my spare time cycling
Exactly my sentiments: reasonable folk paint in spring/summer, when there is actually some daylight to see what you're painting.
I know that in spring or summer on my days off I'll be either on the bike or in the garden: it is now 4 summers ago that I first decided to paint the flat
