Into a 40- 50mph snowy squall on the ride into work.Don't know what the wind chill was but it was a struggle breathing - glad it's only a 2.1km commute each way on days like these.

Re Planet X - their Edinburgh shop is definitely closed, Wednesday May have been their last day... There is a note in the window thanking their customers, basically the shop costs don't work for their business model, but the core online business is not affected.

Planet X, that's a shame, I was always intending to visit and never got around to it. Too far off my usual flight paths. If only they'd located somewhere more central.

Well, well, that's a real shame - there didn't appear to be any sign of them closing - they were even taking a few largish delivery boxes while I was there.

Staff never said anything, either.

I wanted out on the bike today, but was waiting in on a delivery, which turned up just as it got dark. had a look at map of where I havent ventured on the estate yet, and think I have a little winter loop I can do within it

won on football today, from yesterday mornings no sportives, now signed up for evans callander Medium route, and the HPC 100 mile again, as well as yesterdays 3 pistes.

now to lose 3 stone before 31st may.....
