Whatever you do, don't put your soldering/soddering/sodding iron in the hummus, it'll ruin the taste. A couple of ice cubes when you blend the ingredients is however a very good idea.
Oops, sorry, madame Renarde ! 'Umblest hapologies !!

I did notice! If you do that, the room tends to fill with the smell of burnt pork. It's pretty horrid. Besides, your fingers hurt like hell.
I had a schoolfriend who managed somehow to burn a hole in his tie with a soldering iron in our Design and Technology classes when he was supposed to be doing something with a circuit board. He refused to replace it, still having the hole-y tie on our last day at school three years later.
Houmous/hummus (however you spell it) with a touch of sweet chilli sauce, scooped on to tortilla chips is the go-to in my house.
Vampires getting closer!Might need a bit more hummus on toast to keep me going for the rest of the afternoon. I think my breath might be losing its garlic power too.

Anyway why are soldering tools called soldering irons when they are made of copper?
Mine aren't.Because the old ones that you had to heat up in a fire were made of iron.
For those wondering, the French for hummus is 'houmous', and has an aspirate H, so is 'le houmous' or 'du houmous'.
Americans still pronounce it without the 'L'
