I'm certainly not going to condone Brad's behaviour on the bonus- regardless of the bad blood, rules is rules, and he should have paid up. But pray tell, Janine Michelle, what about all the fees and prize money from your man's criteriums this summer? Did he split those? Or is that different?

I think the answer would be yes, he has. There aren't any rumours of bad blood between Chris and any other riders of the SKY stable, so it would seem logical to assume it was all shared out as per the team rules. From purely an outsiders POV, Chris does seem like a more level headed individual, more centered, less prone to outbursts and seems to cope with the pressure a bit better than Brad did. He's not yet fallen off the wagon (might yet happen) as Brad has done more than a few times, and certainly not one to hold a grudge, but his is only my personal opinion.

Wiggins quite often comes across as arrogant/ignorant. And he has treated his fans like dirt in the past. He hates talking to the media, but the popularity of the sport is due to supporters and the media. Love Wiggins riding, hate his personality.
Froomes girlfriend should keep her nose out of matters that don't concern her. Froome really should reel her in a bit. Sit back and enjoy the privaliged lifestyle love; and keep your trap shut!

Bradley Wiggins Foundation has done a lot for women's cycling - he put a lot of his personal money into Wiggle Honda as well if I recall. Hardly satan.

Sorry, but IMHO Wiggins has bad attitude in general towards fans. I don't recall mentioning his charity work. Maybe you can show me where I said that?

I would second this assessment of his personality. I did his sportive this year (for his foundation) as did many others on the day, it wasn't cheap either, but it was for a good cause. The least I'd expect was a hearty speech and a good luck (even if it was short). What we actually got was about 2 sentences whilst he looked farked off and like he really couldn't be arsed to be there. The whole premise of the ride is that he would ride along side you, so start from the back and overtake people to say hi, he didn't. He did the short route and missed off all of the major climbs where the locals, including school kids, had come out to cheer him. When we told them he wasn't riding the route they weren't best pleased. AFAIK he didn't stick around at the finish either, but TBH I'd had enough by that point and just wanted shot of it. The ride itself was great fun, very challenging and well organised, but if you can't be bothered with your own event, let another charity pick up the sponsorship and funds instead.

As someone said earlier, kudos for the charity work. But he seems to not be very grateful for fans. His fame and wealth come from this, and I think he'd do better not to forget it. Back to your point. He usually does look peed off all the time.

personally i think his fame and wealth came from his riding ability and cycling contract - unlike football or rugby were the gate receipts pay their wages, in cycling its a whole different ball game.

as we all know wiggins is a very complex individual, but a very good bike rider indeed

Walsh has well and truly pinned his colours to the mast. It won't stop the Muppets in the clinic though.

He has hasn't he. And justified why but you're right, it just moves him into the Sky camp in the eyes of the rabid.

It was such a good interview, I don't need to read the book

I agree about his riding skill 100%. But without supporters and media coverage there is no fame and fortune, and i think he often forgets this. If the sport wasn't so popular right now there would be no big contracts or sponsorship. He is a particular personality, you are right. But I have seen him push fans out of the way who are just after an autograph. Of course you can't always be full of the joys of spring, no-one is! But most of the time he doesn't even make a half hearted attempt to look interested.
You imagine you've been waiting for him to sign your shirt or similar, and when he comes, he just pushes past ignoring you. How would you feel?
