in Moonflower Murders, Atticus Pund's assistant Madelaine states that it would be impossible to stroll on a certain beach after 6pm because the tide is always high.

We watched this earlier. I'm generally the anti-pedant w.r.t. to fiction and entertainment, but this really was a howler, and I had to zip my lips to avoid irritating my sofa co-dweller!

Watching Joe Pickett.

It's great to see Warden Pickett out in his pickup truck protecting wildlife and fighting crime. Indeed, he fights so much crime he is regularly using the radio mounted atop the dash in his truck to speak to the Sheriff.

Shame there's no antenna plugged into the rear, the empty socket being clearly visible with the through-windsdreen shots.

"Time and tide waits for no man" as the proverb has it. It doesn't respect the time of day either

You're right:

The Moon and Earth exert a gravitational pull on each other. On Earth, the Moon's gravitational pull causes the oceans to bulge out on both the side closest to the Moon and the side farthest from the Moon. These bulges create high tides. The low points are where low tides occur.

In Indiana Jones the protagonist becomes embroiled ina fistfight with a hulking great nazzie played by Big Pat Roach.

This is a serious plot hole and Pat Roach would have easily torn out Harrison Ford's spine and beat him to deal with it in a real fight.

Pat was also the big bloke in the Nepal bar fight. It became a 'running gag' in the Indiana Jones films he'd die horribly each time....
