I only wear a hat whilst walking my dog when it’s cold. If it’s below freezing I’ll wear a Bomber/Trapper hat with the flaps down to keep my ears toastie. If not quite as cold I’ll wear a tweed type flat cap.
Here’s a couple modelled by my boy Bobbie.

Tilly hat in summer, don't like getting sunburn on my bald head. Fleece beany in cold weather, it's just thin enough to fit under my helmet as well.

Carbon fibre... LMAO!!!
In this weather without a beenie, my last 2 braincells would freeze.
I also have baseball caps for summer to.keep the sun out of my eyes and stop those 2 braincells melting. I did have a fedora but the washing machine killed it. I still have an Aussie leather bush hat (without the conkers) for days when it's slashing down or outdoors walking.
Me likes hats ^_^

Also got a big black canvas one for wet weather by the same maker, and a cheapo no name linen one for summer.

Tilly hat, knackered old, 30 plus year leather ranch hat, old military peaked cap are my main ones. I have 16 or so hats that rarely get worn.
