York is a very small city. If you walk along the city walls and go past/through the Historic Bars that are built into the them you will go past many of these othing places .

I dunno how much Jorvik is these days, and you can get queues even in winter at a weekend, but it might be a giggle if the queue wasn't too long.

If you're lucky, the river will be up and you can go and stand on Ouse Bridge and look at the water coming halfway up the door of the King's Arms.

Bars has an alternative meaning in York as I expect you know tdr1nka . I haven't suggested any, I actually really dislike Evil Eye but the Sam Smith's pubs are great, I used to go into the Hansom Cab before they ruined it.

Lest we forget, Barbican is also a brand of non alcohol beer!

They've knocked down the pyramid now. Infact I shudder to think what the place looks like now as demolotion work was already starting as I moved out and I lived about 50 yards from it.

If you go to the minster Kovu(..if ??? what am i saying  ) do the tower walk.
You go up an infeasably small, steep spiral staircase, walk across some of the roof, up some more steps...then you can see York from on high. I enjoyed that bit, but its steep....;)

I did the treasury and the underground bit. It was 'ok'...just ok. Lots of artefacts from the Roman period...and you can see some of the ancient walls and construction underground. You also see how they re-inforced it all after near collapse a few years ago.

IMO York is one of the most beautiful cities in the UK. It's a very special place in our family as it is where MrYoyo took me for our first weekend away when we were courting. Everything mentioned in the posts here is worth seeing. Our children (now adults) remember many special family outings to the sites and museums. Two of them went to university / law school there -a great city for students and cyclists. Have a good trip!
