I think I may have asked this before, but what are grits? They don't sound very appetising. But neither does black pudding I suppose.

I'm not the biggest fan of grits. I'm from the Northeast. Grits are definitely a Southern thing. Poorly prepared grits are gross. But I've had some grits that are amazing when I went to Savannah and Charleston. The secret is cooking them long enough and then adding some butter. Butter makes everything better. Unfortunately I can't really tell you what they are.

Another one for the crew on the other side of pond.
It was made into a song , so on which trail in Virginia is the lonesome pine . I spent a while looking for it ,when visiting the Blue Ridge Mountains.
No joy . However at a cetain time of day the mountains seemed to turn blue.....no I was not my language....
