Bike mechanic / shop owner for me as I love fettling and servicing my own bikes (don't know why, but I do). But it's only a romantic notion, the reality of being a shop owner / bike mechanic is massively removed from the average bikie's perception. You've got people bringing in bikes for a refund because the gears have gone out of index, people complaining about punctures, complaining about how much you charge for fixing same blah blah blah.

Think I've just talked myself out of it
