Assuming a 2km radius, I could put together an 11 mile circular road & bridleway route without using the same piece of track twice. There's 4 pubs and 1 chippie within the circle, but all are closed at the moment plus 1 indian takeaway but I don't know whether they're open or not. Definately open within the circle are 1 supermarket, a small CoOp, a McColls shop with Post office counter, a paper shop, a bakers & a chemist.

2km for me as the crow flies would encompass 90% of my town's centre, so that means 3 supermarkets and a whole host of convenience stores would be accessible. For cycling I could work out a decent ten mile crit course keeping mainly on the ring roads, but there's not a lot of green areas that fall within my circle and the few that do, are already absolutely chock-a-block with dog walkers and other people getting exercise, meaning they wouldn't be much use for social isolation. I could go to the station as that just falls within the boundary, but couldn't go anywhere from there, as 200 yards down the line in either direction would take me back out again!

What does that give you access to?

I have two large parks , three woods and about 6km of segregated cycle track. No hills to speak of that close but we do have inclines in that range.

Small hills, a river in a gorge and then out of it, some woods, a tarn, sheep, cows, horses, a railway line and what appears to be a jackdaw brothel.

Just the main road, and a Forrest road, can’t cycle the Forrest as I have no suitable bike,
but the Forrest is of late attracting more and more walkers, so not a great option really.
So for exercise it’s the main road.
The shops are all outside of the 2km mark.
