....i was cycling and started edging my way out towards the middle of the road to avoid a parked car in front of me about 30 yards ahead and this woman just steamed past me and made me brake and literally stop.....she must have known what i was doing...anyway i called her a fool and stuff like that and chased up until i caught up with her (i'd calmed down by this point) and just thought she was a cow, anyway i shot past her as she was waiting for a car to turn right in front of her and as i approached another stationary car in my way i manoeuvred my way into the middle of the road only to find this silly person up my ass and bibbing her horn....i stuck my finger up at her and as she came to my side she was mouthing something "like get out the middle of the road" to which i said something which i wont repeat and she just drove past me as fast as she could and I stuck my fingers up at her etc....afterwards i felt bad for my actions and should have just told her to do one etc but she was a dangerous driver...

Calm down and carry on!

It's happened, it shouldn't have happened the way it did but it has. You are still alive and not hurt. There is nothing you can do about it so put it out of your mind and resume your life safe in the knowledge that such out and out dickheads are in a tiny minority.

Did you have your arm out to indicate and check a couple of times over your shoulder to signal your intentions?

As compo says, learn from it and move on

You'll need to be bolder otherwise how are cars to know - they often look only to the end of their bonnet and won't be aware of obstacles that may be facing a cyclist, parked cars are a common one they are oblivious of

I appreciate that you are understandably angry at her dangerous driving, but how about reining in the misogynistic insults? And not referring to a woman as " some bird" without any apparent irony?

I agree with the above post- it's just not necessary.

She was a complete moron, however I've found that aggression on the roads does no-one any favours and often can escalate a situation- keep yourself safe- brush it off and stay calm- you never know what short fuses some drivers have.

Now I'm having to agree with TC. Sorry that your telepathy didn't work to let the following car know what you were doing but that OP doesn't do you any favours, IMO.
what you rambling on about mate?
She is saying you don't come across someone who would garner much sympathy.
