Agreed, well done!

I did my first 20 miler when I was fairly young, but then had to get back into shape again almost 3 years ago (aged 41). I had neglected the cycling for many years and was badly out of shape. I did a roughly 40km return trip with few hills, and ended up bonking* on the last few km before home, just slowing down to an exhausted crawl. Very satisfying to have completed that ride, though, and I've improved since then, so I know how you feel, Bev.

* Slang for running out of energy to continue effectively; don't know if you Brits use it too?

Well done, Bev, a good milestone, I achieved the same distance last year at a,young 51 years old. At 45 you're a young pup!!!

We do, but it doesn't mean that.

Well done Bev. I'm returning to cycling at about the same age but I've yet to do a 20 mile run (did plenty in my teens but that was a long time ago), the most I've done so far is 16.8 miles.
