Which hole? Do you mean you can't get a tool to attach to the cassette tool, or the cassette tool is too small for the BB? Pic?

Are you using a half inch drive ratchet or a quarter inch drive. My BB tool uses a half inch square drive which makes it also easy to use with a torque wrench. I also have a socket that fits over the hex shaped end of the tool.

I actually gave up trying to remove a BB with one of those tools. I even fitted the bolt back into the axle packed with washers to hold the tool in place (it is a recommended method, stops the tool slipping and damaging the BB and tool), and even with a spanner on and a yard long steel bar bending it would not budge. Eventually I took it to my LBS and they had a hard time removing it. I have a feeling, when the BB was installed, it had not been greased.
