Went to the shops in the pissing rain to buy a charger, ran an extension cable from inside the house and attached charger to it in the street in the pissing rain. Covered the plugs in plastic bags. Tara! Expensive charger has Start Up feature! But no. It just sits there, randomly flashing it's indicators occasionally for no good reason. Turn the key. Nada. Zilch. Stupid car. How difficult would it be to have the ignition turn everything off, one of our vans at work does it.
Looks like it's new battery time.

Yeh, I always remove the battery to charge it as well.hubgearfreak said:i may be wrong, but i've been told never to charge the battery whilst it's attached to the car. the reason i was given is that the alternator doesn't like it. you may get some success with charging the battery up for 24 hrs (in a ventilated space) and trying again

Make sure you don't end up buying just an empty box...read the smallprint on it cos some of them say "battery's not included".mickle said:Looks like it's new battery time.
