Clicks on my bike turned out to be the bearings in the front wheel. Took it apart, re-greased everything, and it seems to have cured it. Done the rear wheel too for good measure. Funny thing was that it didn't seem to be coming from the wheel, but the sound could be misleading.

It's probably all in my mind/due to me being deaf in my right ear today but all the noise seemed to be coming from the LHS on the way home so going to have a good old look at that. I have done the re-greasing etc of it but concentrated on RHS cos there's more to go wrong there.

Ah the joys of a silent (ish*) bike!!! ^_^

* ok the pedal I've put on is a combined flat and spd so the rubber squeaks against my shoe.
there's a ticking coming from the front hub but that's cos it's a Planet X and made of cheese
The headset creaks because I've hamfistedly overtightened it
A myriad other noises, 99% of which are probably the result of me trying to fix the clicking noise.

Oh and I still want that Merlin fixie. Please let them write to me and say it will fit!!!
