Nope just loose.
However although that was obviously a problem, fixing it hasn't fixed the clicking. Running out of ideas now.
What are pinch bolts? The ones I replaced are the ones that bind the chain rings to the crankarm
Try a spacer...

Yep it is Hollowtech 2 and I've removed them when I took the crank apart. All looked ok. Will see what happens on Monday.I mean the bolts that hold the crankarm onto the axle. See the first photo of this explanation. Although as I said above, it's only applicable if you have Hollowtech II.
Often have this problem through our workshop! People will swear it is bb/crank/pedal problem. More often than not it is cured by removing the front plate stem bolts. cleaning the crap out, grease them, refit and torque up. I know it sounds unlikely and many customers don't believe me but when you are rding you are actually pulling on the bars a lot.
Right. New bike time.
Anyone want to buy a Giant SCR A1 in XL with a clicking noise on the drivetrain? £200 ono
Did that. Just to prove that it wouldn't make a difference. It didn't. Next.Fit a spacer...
Nope double triple checked that. It's actually bent out of the way behind the water bottleThe dérailleur cable hitting the crank per revolution?
Pedal threads were regreased after I'd tried different pedals on itGT 85 or a teflon dry lube on the cleat mechanism make any difference?
