2 lessons tomorrow, 2nd and 4th. 2nd is Digital Photography, so that will be sitting around talking, maybe taking a few pictures, whilst lieing in my leather recliner:biggrin:

Jealous much! Mind you I only have three lessons so could be worse.

When your relay cool you work on sundays after not sleeping the night before and take down sets feeling like a cabbage.
Character building that is.

I usually run on like 4 or 5 hours sleep a night, and my parents made me go to bed earlier so I would be bright and awake today. Be bad I imagine though if i had like zilch sleep.

I work full time and weekends and evenings with three different jobs, Carpenter, Teacher and Homeless project officer.
I also do Am Dram so I have been set building and rehearsing for the panto.
I am also studying an MSc in Environmental Architecture and just starting a Cert Ed for my teaching qualification.
I am also working to convert my house to flats to let, looking after two elderly parents and trying to keep a relationship fun.

I have just got in from a shift at work that should have been 4pm -10pm!

Piemaster's vid was worth watching, puts things in perspective.

Are you aware that there's such a thing as 'Spare Time'???

Blimey NT, you need to slow down a little unless you want to die of a heart attack before your next Birthday!!

I find it's always more profitable to have a hangover on worktime.

tip: if you are ever too ill to do anything at the weekend, but are better by monday, then always 'offset' the illness to monday and tuesday, in order to have yourself a weekend. i.e. call in sick on the monday in lieu saturday, and tuesday in lieu of sunday.

I agree, although it's difficult to pull sickies when you don't get sick pay.

Yes, at the call centre where I am employed, all the staff who were due to start at 6am called in sick and overall during the day there was an 11% rate of absenteeism, 50% higher than the expected rate.
With most activities the prime requirement is to turn up on time and not disrupt the rest of the team.

I am always shocked when I have a day's holiday and 5:30 (going-home time) comes. I can't believe I'm would normally have been sitting at a desk since 8:00 that morning.

When I go on business trips to the Middle East I have to travel on the Friday, their weekend. So I work in the office Monday to Thursday, fly on the Friday (not relaxing) and start work on Saturday morning. Work through to Thursday with meetings or dinners most days up to 10:00 pm then jump on a flight Friday to the next country and start work again on Saturday. And so on for 3 weeks without any proper break. You survive until the end, when the tiredness hits you as the adrenaline wears off.

Indeed, and rightly so. I've worked for people who wouldn't hesitate to do the dirty on their employees when it suited; why shouldn't we get something back every now and again? My current employee is pretty good, by and large, but they're trying to get us to work longer hours for the same money I was on three years ago. Ms RT keeps saying she needs to bring work home with her, just to get done what they give her to do. Err, no ... they don't pay you enough to work at home - if you can't get it done in office hours, it doesn't get done. So, most employers being cast in the same mould in my experience, I have no moral issues with throwing a sickie every so often. Now, where's my phone?
