I know it's a bit of a hippy treatment but I been using a copper bracelets things for a few years for joint pain (hand and wrist) from using a mouse and keyboard, and have found it's really helped. Also have a few builder friends who use them for joint pain and they swear they help. Might be worth a try, but remember any pain relief won't stop joint damage but just stop you norticing it so you can make things worse long term.

Bit of an update,
After blood tests and various trips to the doctors and work health centre it seems they have ruled out arthritis and think it is a circulatory problem and the long winter has not helped .My large thumb joints on both hands still ache so it is back to the doctors when i can to see if he can confirm Reynauds and look at medication.
next winter i will have to look at getting some lobster gloves as this year i have had to make do with aldi gloves with a liner that probably were not thick enough and restricted blood flow .

I've got it too, with a good dose of rsi thrown in, due to my job as a coffee machine operator.
Doc wanted to give me steroid injection, can't really be bothered with appointments as so on
will reconsider in a few years if the pain gets worse.

I manually sequence metal sub assemblies for car frames and deliver in a just in time method using electric vehicles to where they get built up , the picking of the small stuff that gets delivered in boxes is the worst (300 + boxes every couple of hours )but at least a workplace investigation has shown its not how i am picking them up is the problem as i went back on a fork truck process but although the hands got a rest it was the cold that set them off again and so i was put back in the warm .

My Dad had arthritis in his knuckle (possibly from Karate). That is, until he went to Vegas on holiday. He claims the desert heat totally wiped it out. That's the only advice I can offer... go to Vegas.

Times must have changed in the big T if OHC offered more than Ibruprofen and a bag of ice  It's been 6 years since I left for a cushy job in IT but my hands still hurt - seriously considering buying a wax bath!

I did sone push ups in jan and since then both my shoukders and upper arns hurt with cerrain movements quite often waking me up. When I told the dic and said it had improved she said it couldn't be serious if it was improving. Some times I wonder.
