just wondered if anyone has a view on

Pinnacle Cobalt three

i think i may choose this or Specialized Cross trail or Specialized Sirrus

I will need to have a pannier rack as i do like to take my college stuff with me. My previous nike was a Scott 55 Speedster (was nicked) and before that a Cannodale (with out suspension forks0. When i took the Cannodale on the canal path i though it was a bit heavy going. I am looking to speed at most £500 and then i need mudguards
 
The Sirrus is the fastest/ lightest most efficient of the three, a great bike IMO but whilst it will cope with the occasional canal path with its narrower tyres its not at home there. I don't know anything about Pinacle but I like the cheaper model below it with fixed forks but I think it looks a bit too heavy and wide tyred. I think if it was me I'd lean towards the lighter/ faster Sirrus, but if the canal is too rough I'd look at something between the two bikes (maybe with 32mm tyres).

Hi mate
I took the cobalt three for a test ride last November and really liked it no probs for a rear rack my local Evans (gatwick) you can buy it for £369 I would definitely had bought it but managed to get together a bit more money together and went for the cube
