When I was younger I was very much a Mod. I remember once when I was about 15 my Mum gave me money to go and buy something to wear to a family wedding. She expected me to go and buy a suit.

I came back with a pair of dog-toothed trousers, boating blazer and a pair of black and white Jam shoes. Got a clip round the ear and the sharp end of her tongue. She wasn't happy. She was telling me to take it back and then my Dad came in and said he thought it was alright and to let me dress how I wanted. I wasn't harming anyone

Even now most of my 'good' gear has a distinct Mod feel to it. Can't help it. It's like a magnet when I go clothes shopping. It's in-built.

I've been called a trendie or an indie before in the way I wear/buy clothes. Guess it's right. Also by the music I listen to .

I used to be quite scruffy in a sort of skater / punk kind of way. But I have recently discovered that a nice suit can look really cool - in a 60's Michael Caine stylee - none of your loose Italian stuff.

Otherwise, weddings etc. kilt and associated get up, work - polo shirt and smart jeans.

I have no style

Work clothes are very scruffy so making the effort when going out feels good.

Normally in functional clothing - jeans, fleeces, waterproofs and a bit of lycra.

Barnet,
!972/3 I was wearing two tone trousers, Ben Sherman shirts, Stilatio shoes and a Harrington jacket. Class or what. These days I wear jeans/shorts, sweatshirts/polo shirts and whatever I find comfortable.

Yip. It's murder. The sweat around yer old "betty swollocks" is horrible. The relief when you take it off at the end of the night is bliss though.

The weight being lifted off is a joy. You feel 2 stone lighter!

Probably guitar rocker hair bloke type I suppose. I usually wear black on the few occassions I actually wear trousers and shirt ...mostly I hang out in shorts.

A lapsed mod, I certainly don't own a pair of trackie bottoms or a sweatshirt.

I still have a yearning for a candystripe blazer - but at 42 I might not be able to carry it off without looking like the child catcher.
