Do not use a Jetwash - water gets into the bits it is not supposed too.

Car wash soap, warm water, a sponge.

Wash it in the bath. Muc Off brings the tub up nice too!

I wish somebody had told me that as I have been using a jet wash for over 40 years. Funny thinking about it though I have never have any problems doing so.

Wow, you've owned a jetwash since 1978.

works best before the mud has dried... and doesn't have enough pressure to blast the grease out of your bearings

Then give it a quick dry and buff up with a pair of these...

...and bung 'em in the washer.

Another vote for watering can here! It gets the water spread out all over without the force of a sprayer and is easy to carry and empty, warm water helps loosen the dried mud. Sponge (and a little brush for all the grime on the gears is helpful if you have one!) with washing up liquid, watering can again to rinse, and finish up with lube on the chain when you are done.
