As a teenager (in the50s) I was never allowed jeans as they were deemed too common.
Once married I virtually lived in jeans. There were even shops selling nothing BUT denim.
I recall Wrangler being my favourite.
Strangely I don't own any now and 'live' in tracky bottoms.

Undies ??

What about them?

When she was a teenager my wife was not allowed jeans because they "were workman's trousers and not for girls"
This was in the late 1960 and early 70s when everyone was wearing them

She took all the flack and did all the arguments (teenage girl!!) and then her younger sister got some as soon as she asked for them with no problems
elder sibling problems!

When a teenager in the mid 1970's I had a quite successful jeans bleaching, tie dye jeans and t-shirts sideline while still at school. I often look back and think I could have/should have carried it on and not become on leaving school an apprentice painter and decorator. God, I hated that job!
