Hi everyone,
I'm getting missed reviews on how much to do,
I've been riding to and from work every day minimum 5.8 miles each way a little hilly. Some times on the return going out to 17 miles.
Then at the weekend doing 20-40 miles I only started to ride December on a road bike. Just lately I've been feeling soooooooo tired! I've recently read somewhere to do a couple of rides in the week then at the weekend do a bigger ride? I only had a kidney transplant this time last year! Thanks in advance for any help.
Firstly well done for deciding to get fit again a lot of people in your situation would have given up fitness for the rest of their lives. AND therefore shortening there lives by a significant amount.
Take a break at least once a week, obviously the weekend non work ride is the one to drop. There are alternatives like slowing the rides down but taking a day off or even two is the best and quickest aid to recovery

Instead of a complete week off, just have an easy week, you'll be amazed at the difference of having an average speed 1 or 2 mph below your normal average.

Acquired could have been an infection earlier in life there is no answer just a random thing, being 25 when I was diagnosed I didn't really believe it until I climbed up onto the operating table last year!!!
