your saddle needs to fit your arse the way your shoes need to fit your feet. The saddle that came with the bike may never be comfortable if it is the wrong size or shape.

I've used a Brooks Professional for years and it is far and away my favourite saddle.Of course they are now outrageously expensive, but cheaper copies are available. And they last longer thean the bikes they are attached to.
